Summary (English)
ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS NEAR THE VILLAGE OF MOSHTANETS (Tanya Hristova, Martin Hristov – martohristov@yahoo.com) The site was situated on the upper parts of a coulee and the lower slopes of a hill. Sondages were carried out and the coulee of an old river was documented. Fragmentary building ceramics and sherds were found. In Sondages 1 and 2 located outside the coulee, two strata were documented, containing Late Antique and Late Hellenistic sherds, respectively. Part of a ramshackle building was explored and patches of charcoal, animal bones and Late Hellenistic sherds were discovered. A Late Antique site was documented at c. 30 m from Sondages 1 and 2 and three bronze coins were found there: one of Julian the Apostate and two of the Constantine Dynasty.
