Summary
- The goal of this all-period, multi-disciplinary project is to relate the known history of the Thisbe region, across time, to the archaeological record, through the use of multi-stage archaeological surface survey. THe project worked in close collaboration with the Cambridge/Bradford Boeotia Expedition

- Collection unit: eight 30-meter circles at random points in the study area.

- To what degree did the ancient urban node disintegrate at the time of the collapse of the Roman Empire? Was it replaced with a more fragmented, basically rural settlement system? Was it an "isle of refuge" during the Byzantine period?
