The _cippus_ dedicated to the Lares, CIL, XI, 3079, now housed in the church of S. Maria in Falleri, was the starting point for a preliminary survey, which made it possible to place the 19th century find within a context, that is the road network close to the Roman town of _Falerii Novi_.
