At Brăneşti we excavated new complexes from the Latène and the Early Middle Age (10th–11th centuries). From the former age we found a sunken-floored building with a kiln and an open fireplace. Pottery is the only inventory: hand-made pots and an amphora sherd. From the 10th -11th centuries there are five archaeological complexes: three buildings, one pit and one open hearth. L.1 is a special one, because it has a kiln for the reduction of iron ore. L3 is a sunken-floored building with an earth-made kiln and L4 can be a household annex. Materials include special pots with typical decoration for this age.
