ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS NEAR THE VILLAGE OF CHUKOVEZER (Georgi Ivanov – giv@mail.bg, Angelina Pirovska) A copper coin of Constantine the Great minted in AD 324 – 330 in Thessalonica and an iron arrowhead were found on the site. A ceramic urn with cremation burial and two piles of stones with cremated bones inside were explored. A ceramic cup was discovered close to one of the piles of stones. A third pile of stones was explored as well, containing cremated bones and a ceramic cup. In addition, bones from one or two skeletons in a Hocker position were discovered. The pottery dated to the Early Iron Age, while one of the cups could be dated to the Early Bronze Age or the beginning of the Middle Bronze Age.
