Summary (English)
A new stretch of the aqueduct which served Roman Brescia from the springs in the Valle Trompia was investigated at Concesio in via Camerate. A part of the aqueduct just further on where it passes in front of Palazzo Masetti Zannini was already known and the new stretch came to light during levelling work prior to the construction of a residential complex.
The structure, followed for circa 25 m, runs underground and parallel, at a distance of a few metres, to the open air channel which carries water from the Celato reservoir. The plan of the residential complex has therefore been modified, two walls and a reinforced concrete slab were built which protect the ancient structure. (Remo Pareccini)
