Summary (English)
Along the route of the high speed railway, in the territory of Afragola, several structures were identified which seem to belong to a villa rustica of late Republican date.
A floor was uncovered made up of irregular fragments of tufa and brick placed side by side. It presented patches of mending and incorporated medium sized tufa blocks. This probably related to a light structure, isolated from the residential part of the villa, reserved for agricultural activities. Three wells were then made in this structure, one of which was partially built, served by a small channel. Excavation is still underway on the structures relating to the pars dominica identified further to the south.
