Summary (English)

  • (RITI) To the south of the Regi Lagni, along the ancient Clanis, during work for the completion of the TAV (high-speed railway) and related lateral ditches, new evidence came to light regarding the phase between the Final Bronze Age and the beginning of the Iron Age. In particular, a deep well was found, its border and part of the walls lined with fragments from large pottery containers. The well was filled with impasto pottery.

Numerous reconstructable forms were found. Three contemporary burials were also excavated, two of which were cremations. One of these, partially damaged, was a circular pit grave lined with limestone. The tomb group, situated out of context, was partially recovered. Another oval pit contained a cinerary urn and five miniature vases: two jugs, two cups and a pouring cup. The third burial was an inhumation without grave goods, the adult individual laying on its side in fetal position.
