The tell settlement is placed in the Teleorman River valley, 1.5 km East from the Bucharest – Alexandria road. Excavations started in 1993. Stratigraphy: Gumelniţa A1, A2, B1. One of the main objectives of the research is the excavation of the area A-G in order to investigate the stratigraphy of the site. The objective of the last campaign was the research of an occupation area within the mentioned area. Interesting details related to the construction of a fireplace were uncovered. The fireplace is placed in an area of external activities, consisting of several fireplaces, and many fragmentary objects, such as sherds, bones, tools, grinding stones, and pieces of wood.
