The archaeological campaign at Luncaviţa – Cetăţuia took place this year from July the 24th until August the 19th. For this year we established two main objectives:- we excavated a trench located in an area less affected by modern human interventions, as we aimed to reveal the relationship between the prehistorical site and its close neighbourhood region, and we wanted to establish the stratigraphical sequence of the tell-settlement in that location. We continued the excavations in the S. I surface, with special attention paid to the waste zone from the S. 1 (C 2 = C 3) and to the area which borders dwelling no. 1 (L. 1) to the west, namely the sectors 7, 13 and 17.
